Description: The Brooklyn Conservatory of Music (BKCM) seeks a part-time flute instructor. Join BKCM’s Suzuki team of 25 faculty through a weekly teaching position of 4–6 hours on Sundays for the 2024-2025 academic calendar (September–June).
Duties: Teach private lessons, group and theory classes for children ages 3.5 to 18, depending on the schedule assigned.
Most new teachers will teach pre-twinkle beginners ages 3.5–5 and also students who have studied for any length of time in our program.
Teach to some degree in July/August
Qualifications: Bachelor of Music degree or similar, be an active member of the SAA, and have at least units 1–4 registered with the SAA. Ideally, the candidate will have also taken SPA and Practicum. However, the best candidate may not yet have met all of these qualifications.
Salary: The base pay rate in 2023-2024 is $53.00/hour for private lessons, $60/hour for group/theory classes, and $40/hour for meetings & prep time.

Full time Suzuki Violin Instructor

Description: The Wichita Falls Youth Symphony is hiring a Suzuki violin teacher for
a community music academy. The academy works in collaboration with area schools to provide K-5 students with a weekly private lesson and group lesson during the school day on elementary campuses.
Duties: Full-time, 5 days instruction per week. Organize a schedule to teach private and group lessons weekly in elementary schools. Teachers are expected to collaborate in organizing year-end Academy Concerts and attend recitals/rehearsals and special events related to the academy. School year: August-May
Qualifications: Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education or Violin or Viola Performance and registered Suzuki training. Teaching experience. Clear and responsive communicator. Reliable, punctual, and well organized. Current documentation to legally work in the United States.
Salary: Base salary $38,000 (based on nine-month commitment for the 2024-25 Season).

Part Time Suzuki Violin/Viola Instructor
Location: Princeton, NJ

Description: Part-time teaching position (1-2 days per week) at Princeton String Academy www.stringacademy.net for violin and/or viola instructor. We offer a 36-week academic year schedule of private lessons, student recitals, group classes and string quartets plus an eight week summer program.
Duties: Instructor will teach standard Suzuki literature to students of all levels within a dynamic environment of private and group lessons
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required and Master’s Degree preferred with a minimum SAA registered training through Book 3. Seeking serious candidates only who are committed to a vision of excellence for each student and for the program. Starts September 5, 2024.
