Kari Gunderson

Bachelor of Music from Oberlin College, Doctor of Music from Indiana University. Kari has taught violin and viola performance and teacher training at Florida State University and Ohio State University and performed widely. Cofounder, Suzuki Association of Ohio, Suzuki Violin School of Columbus. Now teaching kindergartners through adults in Whitefish Bay in northeastern Milwaukee, she’s secretary of the Suzuki Association of Wisconsin.

Kari’s also a myofascial therapist specializing in chronic muscle pain, working many years at the Columbus McConnell Health Center and teaching muscle pain management classes for the OhioHealth hospital system. She’s presented many workshops for the understanding and self-treatment of tight muscles and fascia. She’s licensed by the Wisconsin and Ohio Medical Boards and is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association. She also has an associate degree in exercise science and was a certified Health and Fitness Instructor with the American College of Sports Medicine.
