I have been teaching cello, beginning violin and Early Childhood Music since 1973 in Oakville Ontario. I started the local youth orchestra in 1977 and the Oakville Performing Arts Camp in 1980. I have found that our policy of involving our teenagers as assistants in the camp in the mornings and giving them orchestra and chamber music in the afternoons for a very reasonable fee to be a very valuable part of our program. Our Oakville suzuki Association staff has now grown to include 10 violin, 5 piano, 1 flute, 3 cello,1 guitar and 2 Kodaly teachers.
