Joseph Kaminsky

Joseph Kaminsky ,a registered Suzuki Teacher Trainer since 1984, has taught at over 450 workshops in the U.S., Japan, Canada, and Singapore. He studied with John Kendall, Roland/Amita Vamos, and Shinichi Suzuki. Maintaining a large studio his students have placed in State, National and International Competitions, and his graduates play professionally in a number of Symphony Orchestras, but the vast majority have just gone on to their chosen fields, enriched from their Suzuki upbringing. Joseph Kaminsky is Principal 2nd violinist with the Metropolitan Orchestra of St. Louis, and was named MoASTA “Artist String Teacher of the Year” in 2014.
Joseph enjoys spending time with his wife Lynn; his sons Nicholas and Daniel; his stepdaughter Erin, who is Assistant Concertmaster of the St. Louis Symphony, and his stepson Ben, a nationally-known contradance fiddler.
