Ms. Youngbin Jo
Violin, Viola Teacher
Youngbin Jo received her M.M. degree in Violin Performance from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, violin studying with Elizabeth Chang and viola studying with Kathryn Lockwood. Diploma with Performance major (concentrated in Jazz Violin) from Berklee College of Music, studying with Rob Thomas and Matt Glaser.
She has been teaching violin and viola since 1997, and she had taught many music schools in South Korea. Currently, Ms. Jo holds a private violin and viola studio in the Montgomery area and now she teaches at Westminster Conservatory of Music Rider University, Trevose Day School and Neshaminy Montessori in Philadelphia. She has played with the Bravura Philharmonic Orchestra in West Windsor and taught Allegra School of Music and Art in Hillsborough.
Her passionate and energetic teaching leads her students to the first chairs of the New Jersey Regional Intermediate and High School Orchestra, All-State Intermediate and High School Orchestr. Many of her students perform violin and viola for Philadelphia Youth Orchestra, the Great Princeton Youth Orchestra, Youth Orchestra of Central New Jersey, Bravura Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, and New Jersey Youth Symphony. She is a member of NJMTA(New Jersey Music Teacher Association), MTNA(Music Teachers National Association) and SAA(Suzuki American Association). She received Best Teacher Awards from the NY International Music Competition, Prima Volta Music Competition and Music Fest.
