Yi-Ping Ivy Huang

Yi-Ping Ivy received her Bachelor of Music degree and Diploma in Music Performance at McMaster University. Her teachers have included Mi-Zi Tan, David Gerry and Suzanne Shulman. During the time in Hamilton, Ivy studied Suzuki flute pedagogy in apprenticeship basis with David Gerry. Ivy returned to Taiwan in 2004 and became a participant in Taiwan Suzuki Association, which was directly authorized by Dr.Suzuki in 1993. She is also a committee member and concert coordinator of Taiwan Suzuki Association.

Ivy was appointed as a flute Teacher Trainer of Taiwan Suzuki Association by Dr. David Gerry in 2017. She accepted the role of the board of the flute Teacher Training Committee of Taiwan Suzuki Association in the same year.
