Cello Teacher
Cellist Yaebon Go enjoys being a cellist for the past 20 years, and has been teaching privately for many years in Orange County, California.
Yaebon has received her Bachelor’s degree from the esteemed Colburn School, where she studied under Ronald Leonard, former principal cellist of the Los Angeles Philharmonic. After completing her studies at The Colburn School, she moved to Chicago to pursue a Master’s degree at Northwestern University under the expert guidance of the legendary Hans Jørgan Jensen.
Yaebon’s private studio, Cello & More Studio, is located in Orange County, California, and her students participate in recitals, competitions, and events. Yaebon is a MTAC/CM qualified teacher, and helps prepare her students for their yearly cello exam and local orchestra auditions. Yaebon makes learning music fun and engaging, and teaches each student with different approaches based on students’ needs.
Yaebon’s orchestral experience brought her to play in Walt Disney Concert Hall under Gustavo Dudamel, Santa Barbara Bowl under Alan Gilbert, Ambassador Auditorium under James Conlon, as well as Cerritos Performing Arts Center. She has served as a principal cellist in Music Academy of the West Festival Orchestra, Northwestern University Symphony Orchestra, and Cal State University, Fullerton’s Symphony Orchestra, where she served as a principal cellist for two years.
Ms. Yaebon’s impressive performance history spans several countries, having played in concerts and recitals across Germany, Italy, Spain, South Korea, and the United States.
