Spencer Stover is a recent alumnus of Penn State University, where he successfully completed his Bachelor’s degree in Music Education. During his time, he had the privilege of studying violin under the esteemed guidance of Professor James Lyon. Building upon his accomplishments, Spencer will be attaining a Professional Performance Certificate, which he aims to fulfill in the upcoming year at Penn State.
Spencer’s passion for music extends beyond the classroom, as he actively engages in freelance opportunities and performances with various local ensembles such as The Pennsylvania Chamber Orchestra and The Williamsport Symphony. With nearly fifteen years of immersive experience in the arts, encompassing roles as a performer, teacher, and dedicated student, Spencer has garnered invaluable insights and honed his skills. His commitment to musical excellence has led him to participate in prestigious summer programs like The Josef Gingold Chamber Music Festival of Miami and The Philadelphia International Music Festival, where he collaborated with esteemed musicians from around the world, fostering growth and artistic collaboration.
His previous teachers include Kimberly Fisher, Principal Second Violinist of The Philadelphia Orchestra, and Beth Guerriero, Interim Executive Director of Westrick Music Academy, both of whom have played instrumental roles in his artistic development. Their mentorship has undoubtedly contributed to Spencer’s musical prowess and commitment to his craft.
