In 2024, the studio is waitlisting for openings in 2025. Interested families will have the opportunity to regularly observe lessons between now and then, to get well established in our studio community before the first lesson. Beginners who will be around ages 6-8 at the time they start lessons will fit the most comfortably into the current group.

“Welcome to my studio! My teaching is both grounded in Suzuki pedagogy and enriched with a lot of supplementary material, to give the students a wide window on today’s musical world. In addition to Suzuki rep and other classical music, the students share a repertoire of traditional fiddle tunes of several cultures, and studio tuition includes opportunities to learn and perform with Seattle Fiddlesticks. Thanks to my work with Seattle Historical Arts for Kids, some of the students are also exposed to the music of the Middle Ages and Renaissance and to Baroque performance practice. My students have enjoyed leadership roles in the excellent orchestral programs at Washington, Hamilton, Eckstein, and Jane Addams Middle Schools, Garfield High School, and the Cascade Youth Symphony Orchestra.
