Ms. Shih-Ying (Zoe) Lin
Cello, Piano Teacher
Ms. Lin is a native of Taiwan and has had extensive performance and education experience in all areas of solo, chamber and orchestral music. She’s began playing the piano at the age of 4 and cello at 8. She studied cello with Prof. Chu-Chuan Liu for over 12 years, and also earned Bachelor and Master degrees of cello performance under her tutelage. During her study, she had been the principal cello of TNUA Orchestra. Also she served as a cellist in professional orchestra such as National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra, Evergreen Symphony Orchestra, Yinqi Symphony Orchestra, and Academy of Taiwan strings.Ms. Lin has performed in solo master classes for Rhonda Rider, Ko Iwasaki, Jian Wang, Gary Hoffman, and has studied with Walter Nothas at Summer Academy Mozarteum Salzburg in 2005 and Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi and Kyungok Park at Kirishima International Music Festival in 2014.
Ms. Lin has more than 15 years experience of teaching cello including private lessons, small group classes, and chamber music. She also coached the cello section in elementary and middle school orchestra.
