Ms. Sherilyn Coldwell

Sherilyn Coldwell received her B.A. and M.A. in Piano Performance from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. She had been teaching piano for many years when a colleague encouraged her to look into the Suzuki method of teaching piano. Sherilyn took the training, registering in all the books. She found it a perfect fit for her as a teacher and ended up asking all of her students to transfer over to that method, feeling that it was the best offering for their musical development as well.

Dr. Suzuki’s philosophy completely aligned with everything she knew to be true from her own experience. She has been a Suzuki teacher for 18 years now and still finds every bit of it fresh and true.

Sherilyn moved to Longmont, CO in 2018. She offers lessons in her Longmont home and continues to offer online lessons to students throughout the US. She enjoys teaching students of all ages, from young children to older adults, and all skill levels. She truly believes Every Student Can and has seen that proven over and over in her many years of teaching.

She teaches both in person and online. We take care of each other by wearing fitted masks and using an air purifier.
