Samuel Ng started playing violin at the age of nine. He earned his masters and bachelors degree at San Jose State University in violin. He was awarded an Outstanding Graduate Student Award in 2021. He studied violin with Mr. John Kraus, Mr. Li Lin, Kwok-Ping Koo, Dr. Sarah Jones-Hayes, and Motoko Toba. He was selected as one of the winners of the 2018 SJSU Concerto Competition in November 2018. He won second place at the 2014-2015 Burlingame Music Club. He also won third place at the 2015 US Open Music Competition and second place at the 2013 US Open Music Competition in Oakland. He also participated at the Junior Bach Festival in 2012 and 2014. He attended the Texas Music Summer Festival Orchestral Institute at University of Houston in the summer of 2017 and 2018.

He was a member of New Texas Symphony Orchestra for two years, and is currently a member of the McKinney Philharmonic Orchestra. He also plays violin and bass at the InOne Music Ministries in Plano, TX and in his church in Frisco, TX.
