Mr. Ryan Caparella
Violin, Viola Teacher
Ryan Caparella serves on the faculty of the Western Springs School of Talent Education and Naperville Suzuki School, where he maintains a studio of nearly forty students ages 3-18, leads the Viola Choir and co-directs the Summer Chamber Music Camp. Ryan holds a Master of Music in Violin Performance from The Hartt School of Music (Hartford, CT) and a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from The Frost School of Music at The University of Miami. Ryan thrives on sharing his love of music with others dually through performing and educating.
Ryan has pursued extensive study in violin & viola pedagogy. Ryan completed his Long Term Training in Suzuki Pedagogy with Teri Einfeldt at The Hartt School, and has pursued additional pedagogy study with Edward Kreitman, Thomas Wermuth, Elizabeth Faidley and Doris Preucil. In 2013, Ryan was invited to present at the American String Teachers’ Association National Conference. In 2017, Ryan was a recipient of the Suzuki Association of America’s Certificate of Achievement, a designation recognizing teachers with a commitment to life‐long learning and self‐improvement.
In addition to his teaching at the Naperville Suzuki School, Ryan has led masterclasses around the Chicagoland area, and is a frequent guest clinician for Solo & Ensemble festivals. Ryan can also be found performing across Chicago in numerous pit orchestras, and has toured the US and China with The Mantovani Orchestra in recent years.
