Ruthannah Trinchini
Cello Teacher
Ruthannah Trinchini is a young, passionate cellist
whose love for classical music started because of Eastman School of Music
(ESM) in Rochester, NY. ESM collaborated with Hochstein Music School,
Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO), Eastman Community Music School,
the City of Rochester and other sponsors to form the Rochester Orchestra Collaborative -
better known as ROCmusic—a tuition-free approach to orchestral strings.
Beginning with Concertino, Ruthannah learned the basics from Eastman Grad students.
She quickly progressed to the ROCmusic Orchestra and played alongside—El Sistema style -
the RPO on the Kodak Hall stage at Eastman Theater. Before she completed her first
year of study, at eleven years old, she excelled to the “All-Stars” group which played
on WXXI radio broadcast with Conductor Alexander Pena. Ruthannah was a “founding”
player of New Life Assembly’s Orchestra where she developed her musicianship skills.
She became a ROCmusic mentor and private teacher of budding, young cellists living
in the City of Rochester. In the Spring Semester of 2022, Ruthannah tried out and played
with the University of Rochester Chamber Orchestra (the River Campus school founded
by George Eastman). She enjoyed the challenging music and the like-minded dynamic
members. Her most memorable concert with University of Rochester Chamber Orchestra
was at Kodak Hall for a Ukraine benefit concert. Ruthannah has recently moved to SC to be
closer to family. She currently plays with the Foothills Philharmonic Orchestra.
She loves to read, crochet, and horseback ride.
