Rose Reidmiller Gowda
Violin, Viola Teacher
Rose Reidmiller Gowda has taught a full studio of Suzuki violin and viola students ages 4 and up in private lessons, group classes, and ensembles for 15 years. A passionate advocate of Suzuki Talent Education and a former Suzuki kid herself, she believes in nurturing and developing the whole child through holistic, joyful music making! She is extensively trained and registered with the Suzuki Association of the Americas, and is also a trained early childhood music instructor with MusikGarten.
Rose received both her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in performance from the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music, where she graduated summa cum laude and served as a graduate assistant while studying with renowned teachers Masao Kawasaki and Catharine Carroll Lees.
In addition to teaching, Rose is an active and versatile freelance musician; she records and performs a wide range of styles from classical to pop/rock. She has appeared onstage at the Cincinnati Fringe Festival multiple times, with artists such as Michael Buble and Josh Groban, and also performs locally and nationally with the indie pop band Serenity Fisher and the Cardboard Hearts, and the Rosenthorns, a high-energy contra dance band. She is also the owner and violinist for the Midnight Rose Trio, a local ensemble specializing in elegant wedding and event music, and has performed for literally hundreds of events in the region.
