Mrs. Rebecca A. Wiessner
Violin, Viola Teacher
Rebecca Wiessner is a registered teacher with the Suzuki Association of the Americas, and has been teaching continuously since 1987 in what is currently the Walla Walla Suzuki Association.
She has been a member of the Whitman College Chamber Orchestra, and enjoys teaching, playing with the Walla Walla Symphony Orchestra and local bluegrass and folk music groups, and providing special music for church.
Rebecca’s training outline includes: Violin Foundation 1A from Kay Collier McLaughlin at the Oregon Suzuki Institute, Violin Foundation 1B from Rosalind O’Keefe at the Pacific Northwest Suzuki Institute, Violin Unit 2 from June Itami at the Idaho Suzuki Institute, Violin Unit 3 from Susan Kempter at the Montana Suzuki String Institute, Violin Unit 4 from Debbie Goolsby at the Suzuki Institute of the Palouse, Violin Unit 5 from Kathleen Spring at the Suzuki Institute of the Palouse, Violin Unit 6 from Craig Timmerman at the Suzuki Institute of the Palouse, and yearly attendance at the Walla Walla Suzuki Institute to continue studies in all Suzuki method books, esp. volumes 7-10. In addition to completing unit training, Rebecca has enjoyed attending classes held by Dorothy Delay, Cathryn Lee, Doris Preucil, Mark O’Connor, and William Starr.
