Nyssa Rabinowitz

Nyssa Rabinowitz has been teaching violin lessons since 2005. When she was a sophomore in high school, Nyssa started her own private violin studio, which continued until she graduated in 2007. She re-opened her studio following her graduation from Michigan State University in 2011. She owns and teaches at her own studio, Iluvatar Music, LLC, in Birmingham, Michigan.

Nyssa teaches students of all ages from as young as 4-years-old thru adult students. She is a certified Suzuki Violin Book 1-4 teacher. Nyssa returned to MSU in 2013 and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Music Education with honors in December 2015, where she took violin lessons from Walter Verdehr.

In addition to teaching private violin lessons, Nyssa works as the K-3 Violin Teacher at the Detroit Country Day Lower School. Nyssa also leads sectionals and coaches chamber music with the Oakland Youth Orchestras Strings and Studio Strings youth orchestras, and performs as a freelance musician with chamber ensembles throughout Oakland County.
