Ms. Nissa Anderson

Ms. Nissa Anderson, a violinist of twenty years, has led Anderson Music Studio in west-suburban Chicago since 2018. Anderson Music offers Suzuki method violin instruction to children as young as 3.
Ms. Anderson’s love of music was evident early on, with much of her young life spent begging her older brothers to teach her something on their guitars. When the opportunity to finally arose to learn an instrument through her elementary school, she enthusiastically chose violin and went on to study at the Western Springs School with Mr. Rolando Freitag. She holds a Bachelor’s in Music Education from Lake Forest College and has worked in both public school and private studio settings across Chicagoland since 2016, teaching beginning and middle school orchestra as well as working as a teaching artist at Ravinia’s Teach-Teach-Play program. Ms. Anderson has completed Suzuki training with Tanya Carey, Ed Kreitman, Rolando Freitag, and Danny Gee Cordova.
