Mitchell Green
Guitar Teacher
Mitchell Green is a graduate of Northwestern University, where he earned his Bachelor of Music degree in classical guitar performance and his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics. In addition to over a decade of teaching experience, Mitchell was raised on the Suzuki guitar method and began studying classical guitar at age four. Throughout his professional career, he has performed at the Ravinia Festival, on Chicago’s 98.7 WMFT radio, with symphony orchestras and more. Mitchell currently teaches in Chicago’s Gold Coast, as well as Northbrook, IL, offering private lessons and group classes. Mitchell serves as an adjudicator for competitions, a clinician at guitar festivals, and is a board member of the Chicago Classical Guitar Society. Mitchell’s primary teachers have included Denis Azabagić, Anne Waller, and Julia Miller. He also studied with Sharon Isbin, from the Juilliard School of Music, at the Aspen Music Festival.
