Maria Savarese

Hailing from Phoenix, Arizona, cellist Maria Savarese is an avid teacher and performer. Inspired by her first music teacher, her grandfather, Maria is passionate about sharing the joy of music with others. She is currently accepting students in Ann Abor, however she has previously taught for Harmony Project (Tucson, AZ), the Greenwood Preparatory Academy (Stillwater, OK), and the University of Arizona String Project (Tucson, AZ). Maria holds degrees from Oklahoma State University (MM Cello Performance) and the University of Arizona (BM Cello Performance). She is currently pursuing a degree at the University of Michigan (MM Performance and Chamber Music). In addition to teaching, she was formerly a section member of the Tulsa Symphony and regularly performed with the Oklahoma City Philharmonic.
