Mandi Vance

Mandi was a Suzuki kid. She began violin lessons at the age of three with Stephanie Price and began studying with Yuko Honda four years later. She studied with Ms. Honda for the next eleven years completing the 10 Suzuki violin books. During that time she also participated in school and community ensembles including the Newport (WA) High School chamber orchestra and Seattle Youth Symphony.
Mandi graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Architecture minoring in music and from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a Master of Science in Architectural Sciences emphasizing in Architectural Acoustics. While at UO, Mandi completed the Suzuki violin pedagogy program there under the guidance of Karin Hallberg for Suzuki Books 1-3. Mandi has taught with the Community Music Institute at UO as well as privately for several years in Washington, New York, and Oregon.
Mandi’s passion is in helping young children to develop a love for music and to develop life skills by learning to play violin.
