In 2015 Lynn McCall was named by the SAA, as the first teacher trainer for SECE in the U.S. She received her Suzuki mentoring and training from Dorothy Jones and Leena Crothers. Throughout her over 35 years of teaching, she has specialized in piano and early childhood music methods. For the last 20 years her passion has been to help bring the Suzuki ECE program to the forefront by introducing it into new communities. She is the Director and Co-Founder of The Alyla Suzuki Early Childhood Music School in New Haven Ct. In 2006 her school was founded as the pilot program in Connecticut and the Northeast for Suzuki ECE . Currently she serves as a founding member of the SAA, SECE committee and Co-Chair of the SECE Curriculum Revision committee. Her work involves establishing SECE programs throughout the U.S. and Latin America. She has helped to bring into existence programs in the U.S., Mexico, Brazil, Costa Rica and trained teachers from several countries throughout Latin America. Although much of her time is dedicated to music for early childhood education, she has maintained an active piano studio, specializing in working with young children, since 1995. She has been a presenter, clinician and teacher trainer for National and International workshops and Institutes. She was honored to be included in the 2013 SECE Faculty Suzuki World Conference in Matsumoto, Japan and has served as coordinator for the Minneapolis SECE conference teams. Some of her other passions are interior design, gardening and flower arranging. She is the proud mother of 2 grown sons and lives in Ct. with her husband.
