Lisa Shields

Ater graduating from the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music with a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance, and the Cleveland Institute of Music with a Master of Music in Violin Performance Lisa pursued the world of orchestral performance and freelance musical opportunities. Since moving to the Dallas area in 1992, Lisa has been a member of the Dallas Opera Orchestra, the Lewisville Lake Symphony, Wichita Falls Symphony, and Texas Winds Musical Outreach. Her Suzuki teacher training began in 2004 and continues with ongoing enrichment classes offered by the North Texas Suzuki Association, and North Texas School of Talent Education. She has had a home studio of students at all levels of advancement for over 17 years, and continues to enjoy finding what makes each student tick, rejoicing in their excitement and achievements. Lisa provides twice yearly recital opportunities, encourages NTSA performance opportunities, and provides group class for those students at a similar level of advancement.
