Lisa Goethe-McGinn has been instructor of Suzuki and traditional flute for over 25 years.  She is a certified Suzuki instructor receiving her training from David Gerry. Lisa also teaches recorder, piano and coaches chamber music. She is an active soloist and chamber musician and has performed in many festivals and concert series’ throughout the U.S. and abroad.

Lisa received her degrees from the University of Illinois and Millikin University and has studied with Alexander Murray, Mary Karen Clardy and Mary Ellen Poole.  She has participated in masterclasses with Robert Dick, Walfrid Kujala and Patricia Spencer.

Lisa is on the faculty of Columbia College Chicago and runs her own independent flute and piano studio in the western suburbs of Chicago where she lives with her husband, two children and their two pugs, Sherman and Trixie.
