Kristen Burk grew up in Buffalo NY, and graduated from the Wheaton College Conservatory of Music (IL), magna cum laude with membership in the scholastic honor society. She held the position of co-concertmaster in the college orchestra, and earned a degree in music education, and a minor in Bible and theology. She received her Suzuki violin and viola training from Rebecca Sandrok, Nancy Jackson, Tanya Carey and Tom Wermuth, and currently holds certification in books 1-10 for violin, and 1-4 for viola. Kristen holds an IL teaching license, and is a member of the MENC and SAA organizations.

Kristen is currently the Co-owner of the Suzuki Talent Education Program of DuPage, where she teaches private violin lessons, group classes, the school’s advanced violinists ensemble. She is a member of the DuPage Symphony Orchestra.
