Kathleen also has experience as a Suzuki parent, as her two daughters studied Suzuki violin and harp. Kathleen’s students perform at several recitals each year, including one at a nursing home. Additionally, Kathleen enjoys acting, improv, reading and baking. Kathleen also teaches in a preschool/kindergarten and has lots of experience with young children. Through this she has fostered a skill in finding ways to teach using games and fun activities.
Quotes from her students’ parents: “Kathy is consistently a kind, patient, thorough and creative teacher. My daughter always emerges from her weekly lessons feeling more encouraged , uplifted, and capable.”
“A good teacher can convey to their pupils much more than the subject matter at hand. They can teach about life—problem solving, patience, perseverance, dealing with disappointment and celebrating their accomplishments. Kathy is such a teacher.”
