Karen Egger

Karen Egger has been teaching for twenty years, and loves working with children and adults if all ages.
She was the professor of String Pedagogy at the University of Colorado, Boulder, and ran Silver Strings Academy, a Suzuki music school in Westminster Colorado for nine years. She has a Bachelor’s in Music Education and Master’s Degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder in Violin Performance and Pedagogy.
She did her Suzuki training with the nationally acclaimed pedagogue, William Starr. She played professionally with a division of Cirque du Soliel, and the York Symphony Orchestra for two years as a violist, and with the Shippensburg Festival Orchestra as a violinist. With these orchestras, she had the pleasure of sharing the stage with great artists such as Joshua Bell, Christopher Riley, and Nadia Solerno Sonnenburg. She has also done recordings on violin, viola, and ‘cello in a number of different genres.
