The Suzuki Violin Unit 1 refresher course was so inspiring! I’m incorporating many of Teri Einfeldt’s teaching points into my own teaching, including “inside corner” of left fingers, and fingerboard tapes only for finger one and finger three.
I teach in my home studio in the Largo/Seminole area near Walsingham Park.
I love teaching children and have a good balance of relaxed joking along with serious expectations. I expand a student’s attention span while also being sensitive to their level of fatigue. I teach note reading, at the appropriate age.
Also, I’m a parent of a Suzuki violin student who began at age 3.5. So I have lots of experience on both sides.
And I love to play my violin! I play at weddings, and I’m concertmistress of 2 orchestras: the Pinellas Community Orchestra and the Suncoast Symphony suncoastsymphony.org. I also play with the Tampa Bay Symphony tampabaysymphony.org. Come hear our concerts and support local music!
