PROFESSIONAL
I studied piano from age 4-16, and again in college, beginning violin study at age 7. In 1967 while visiting potential universities, I was in the right place at the right time and observed Dr. Suzuki and the Japanese tour group in their first visit to the USA. After graduating from Texas Tech, marrying, and moving to Sacramento, CA I heard more about the Suzuki philosophy. Moving to TX I met a former school friend who studied with Dr. Suzuki. She convinced me to teach my first child by that method. I attended many institutes as a parent with as many as three of our daughters, then began teacher training in the early 1980’s. Member of Suzuki Association of the Americas, North Texas Suzuki Association, American String Teachers Association, and Harmony Club of Abilene, NFMC, serving in various offices in the local organizations.
2010 ECE training, opening studio for early childhood in 2011 with Caitlin Clark, graduate of my violin studio.
