Mrs. Joyce Liu

Joyce came from a musical family and started playing piano at church at the age of 12. She completed a teaching certificate in the music field of study and received piano wellness training from Dr. Brian Allison. She was going through Suzuki Piano Certification with Mrs. Anne Bowman and Mrs. Rita Hauck. Dr. Alex McDonald is her current piano mentor.

Joyce received her Bachelor’s degree in Music concentrating in piano from Texas Woman’s University with honor graduation. She is currently an MTNA Nationally Certified Teacher of Music and a certified teacher of Royal Conservatory Certification.

Joyce is an active member of the PMTA (Plano Music Teachers Association), MTNA (Music Teachers National Association), and TMTA (Texas Music Teacher Association). Her students have successfully received excellent recognition in theory tests and various festivals.

In response to the COVID-19 period, Joyce provides effective online private and group lessons, after-lesson assignment PDF, a private FaceBook performance group, and virtual recitals. The private lessons could be conducted in English or Mandarin.
