Dr. Jenny Lee Vaughn
Violin, Viola Teacher
Dr. Jenny Lee Vaughn is on faculty at the Kansas City Suzuki Academy. Previously, Vaughn worked with children and adults in collegiate and public school settings in Texas, as well as her private studios in Texas, Florida, Ohio and Kansas. As a child, Vaughn was introduced to the violin through the Suzuki Method in her hometown of Manhattan, Kansas. She received her Suzuki training from Kimberly Meier-Sims at the Sato Center for Suzuki Studies, Carol Sykes (International Music Festival), Ann Montzka-Smelser (Chicago Suzuki Institute), Nancy Jackson (Chicago Suzuki Institute), and Linda Fiore (Intermountain Suzuki String Institute).
Vaughn served on the board of the North Texas Suzuki Association from 2018-2020.
Vaughn received her Bachelor of Music degree from The Florida State University, where she was given the distinction of Presser Scholar, graduating summa cum laude with honors, and with a Minor in Religion. She graduated from the Eastman School of Music with a Master of Music degree, and Florida State University as a Doctor of Music with a Specialized Study in Early Music.
