Jennifer Kovarovic
Violin Teacher
Jennifer Kovarovic graduated magna cum laude in 2002 from New York University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education. She then went on to earn a Master of Education degree in Educational Psychology at the University of Washington, where she studied the relationship between Suzuki education and the socioemotional development of students. Jen has studied violin with Serena Canin, Joey Corpus, and Ronda Cole. In 2004 she graduated from the Teacher’s Training Program at the School for Strings under the instruction of Louise Behrend. From 2006 to 2009 Jen completed a private Suzuki apprenticeship with Ronda Cole and became certified to teach Parent Effectiveness Training. She served as the principal second violinist for the New York University Orchestra and the Brooklyn Conservatory Orchestra, and has performed with many ensembles throughout New York City, Seattle, and Washington, D.C. Currently she directs her own studio, Suzuki by the Sound.
