NOW ACCEPTING NEW STUDENTS FOR IN-PERSON and/or ONLINE ZOOM LESSONS

I hold a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance as well as a Bachelor of Music in Music Education. I began my Suzuki teacher training in 2007 and continue to take training courses whenever I can. These courses require playing auditions on the instrument, as well as many hours of classes, observations and written work.

I’ve played the violin for over 30 years! I’ve played in college orchestras, solo recitals, community theater productions, weddings, funerals and my community symphony.

I also played the alto and tenor saxophones in concert band, marching band, jazz band and pep band when I was 12-18 years old, and still play and teach saxophone today! I love learning different instruments!

Along the way, I’ve also learned the viola and flute to an intermediate level and accept beginning/intermediate level students on these instruments, in addition to violin and saxophone.

I teach my students how to practice, so they will know what they are supposed to do every day and have as little stress as possible doing it. I teach all kinds of music: Suzuki pieces; fiddling; gypsy; folk; classical; baroque; romantic; movie music. I encourage my students to practice 5-7 days each week.

I accept students as young as 2 years old.

I live in Sacramento with my husband, 3 children and 2 cats. I enjoy reading, writing, traveling and trying new recipes.

I have been teaching the Suzuki Violin Method since 2007.

My fee is monthly, payable via cash, check, Venmo or PayPal.
