Graduate from McGill University in 1977 with a Licentiate of Music Diploma in cello performance and Boston University, with a Master of Music Degree in cello performance in 1981, Iona Corber has performed with l’Orquesta Mexicana de la Juventud in Mexico City, l’Orchestre des Jeunes du Québec, and Les Jeunes Virtuoses. She has been performing with l’Orchestre Symphonique de Longueuil since its inception in 1986. In addition to managing and performing with Trio Ambiance, which she founded in 1986, she has been performing with l’Ensemble du Carré St-Louis. She teaches Suzuki Cello as well as Music for Young Children®.
