Heather Gruis

Heather Gruis began playing the violin at the age of 4 and grew up as a Suzuki kid. All of the good memories and life lessons along the way, as well as her desire to have an influence in the lives of children, led her to get her MM in Suzuki pedagogy from the University of Denver after earning a BS in Social Studies Education from Clearwater Christian College. She maintains a private studio in Lakewood, Colorado, teaches with Denver Talent Education, and directs the string orchestras at Beth Eden Baptist School. Heather currently performs with the Lakewood Symphony Orchestra. When she’s not teaching, she most loves hanging out with her husband and two daughters.
