Debora began Suzuki violin studies at age four with Max Mandel, concertmaster of the Phoenix Symphony. She teaches with warmth and energy and enjoys connecting with her students and their families. Above all, playing music should be fun!

Debora continued her Suzuki studies with Ruth Johnson -founding director of the Chapel Hill Philharmonia, then studied violin performance with Donna Fairbanks, PhD, culminating in a B.A. with Honors at BY University. She has played in orchestras and ensembles across the country, including the University of California, San Francisco, and at the prestigious Governor’s School in North Carolina.

Debora teaches many styles, including classical, jazz, rock, folk and fiddle; she facilitates positive performance experiences: semiannual recitals are encouraged as well as are group lessons, which are fun and encouraging for young and/or beginning students.

Debora is raising two musicians; she is a current Suzuki violin parent to her 9 year-old son.
