Mrs. Chika Mimura
Violin Teacher
Chika Mimura is an accomplished and highly experienced violin instructor with extensive knowledge in Suzuki violin education. She holds a Diploma in Suzuki Violin from the International Academy of the Suzuki Method in Matsumoto, Japan, which was directed by Shinichi Suzuki. Ms. Mimura began learning the violin at the age of three in a Suzuki Violin program in Tokyo, Japan, and has been trained by renowned teachers such as Shinichi Suzuki, Hiroyuki Aoki, and Richard Rood. Ms. Mimura has performed in various ensembles and orchestras, including Ensemble Archet, Sinfonietta Nova, Bravura Philharmonic Orchestra, Edison Philharmonic Orchestra, and Capital Philharmonic of NJ. She has been teaching Suzuki Violin for over a decade in both Japan and the United States, and has served as an instructor for Suzuki violin education at the Achievement of Human Potential in Pennsylvania, Suzuki Summer Camps in Japan, and several Suzuki Method World Conventions in various countries. Since 2004, Ms. Mimura has been a violin faculty member at Westminster Conservatory of Music and runs her own violin home studio in Pennington, NJ.
