Carolyn Mead holds degrees from Oberlin and the University of Michigan, and studied Suzuki pedagogy with Dr. Tanya. L. Carey at Western Illinois University. She teaches cello in her private studio in Rochester, MN, and is assistant principal cello in the Rochester Symphony Orchestra. Carolyn has served on the faculties of the Atlanta Suzuki Institute, the American Suzuki Institute and SOUND ENCOUNTERS. Before coming to Minnesota, Carolyn taught strings and orchestra in the public schools in Nebraska, Wyoming, and California.
