Mr. Blake F. Bonde

Blake has been active as a private music educator since 2001. He has taught courses in music theory through the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, the school from which he holds a B.M. in Double Bass Performance. His education has included study with the late James Clute of the Minnesota Orchestra, and Christopher Brown of the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra.

As a performer Blake has held positions with several orchestras in the US and Canada, including OCSM and ROPA member orchestras. Beside his experience with orchestral and chamber music, he is a fan of jazz and a gigging jazz musician. His experience also includes work with Americana and folk musicians, and work on electric bass guitar as a teacher and performer within blues, country, jazz, and other popular musical genera.
