Anna Hogas
Violin
Welcome! My name is Anna Hogas and I am a Violinist and Suzuki Violin teacher in the Cleveland area. I am passionate about sharing the joy of violin with my students and their families, and love The Suzuki Method because of its natural approach and outstanding results.
I am a fully registered Suzuki Violin Teacher with The Suzuki Association of the Americas, and received my training in Suzuki Pedagogy under the tutelage of Kimberly Meier-Sims as part of my graduate studies at the Cleveland Institute of Music. I have been teaching for over six years, and have experience teaching both children and adults, starting at age 3.
I fell in love with the violin when I started playing at age 7, and went on to study Violin Performance with Marilyn McDonald at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, where I also did a minor in Historical Performance. I did my graduate studies at the Cleveland Institute of Music, where I studied Violin Performance under the mentorship of Jessica Lee of the Cleveland Orchestra and Philip Setzer of the Emerson String Quartet. I have played locally with orchestras such as the Firelands, Canton, Akron, and Snowbelt Symphonies, and enjoy nurturing my violin students and watching them grow in character and ability!
