Andrea Myers received her Bachelor’s of Music in Flute Performance in Spring 2012 from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. During the progress of her degree she performed in traditional settings with the Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, and various chamber ensembles and crossed over into the jazz realm performing and soloing with jazz combos and Jazz Ensemble I.  Her curiosity about other music styles is demonstrated by the range of performances in which she has taken part; from weddings and recitals to the Minnesota Fringe Festival. She has participated in masterclasses held by Keith Underwood, Ali Ryerson, Conor Nelson, and Wilbert Hazlezet. Other influential teachers include Nadine Hur, Linda Nielsen-Korducki, and Jennifer Regan-Volk.

Andrea was a founding teacher and Executive Director (2020 -2023) of Hopewell Music Cooperative North, a nonprofit music school which provides accessible and affordable high quality music education. In February 2017 she joined the teaching faculty at Saint Paul Conservatory of Music where she continues to teach private flute lessons (traditional and Suzuki), chamber groups and in outreach school programs.

As a Suzuki Flute teacher she aims to foster a love and appreciation for not just music but all forms of art. Each lesson her goal is to have the student walk away having had fun but inspired to continue to better themselves. While in her undergrad she was exposed to Alexander Technique which is a discipline that increases body awareness and helps to identify tension habits. She has studied privately with Tully Hall, Pedro Alcantara, and John Nicholls.
