Amanda Stenroos

Violinist Amanda Stenroos enjoys a varied career in music as an arts administrator, performer and teacher. Amanda received her Master of Music from The University of Massachusetts Amherst and her Bachelor of Music in violin performance from the Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Music in Berea, Ohio. Her teachers include Elizabeth Chang, Julian Ross and Annie Fullard. Amanda has performed across the US in Ohio, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Virginia, and abroad in Bolivia, Italy, Germany and Prague.

As an arts administrator, Amanda was recently appointed General Manager of the Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival, held annually in Burlington, Vermont. A lover of Bach, she is also co-founder and producer of the University of Massachusetts Amherst bi-annual Bach Festival and Symposium and manages the Lighthouse Chamber Players, a chamber music festival on Cape Cod. Amanda teaches in the Suzuki program at the Northampton Community Music Center as well as a home studio of private students. Amanda performs frequently in Western Massachusetts where she currently lives, most recently with her string quartet the Cushman Quartet, and works at Stamell Stringed Instruments in Amherst helping string students young and old select fine violin, violas and cellos. In her free time, Amanda enjoys hiking, traveling, cycling, mountain biking and tending to many house plants.
