Amanda Milne
Violin Teacher
Amanda Milne began her violin studies at the age of five, with Vermont Suzuki Violins. As a child, she attended the Ithaca Suzuki Institute and the Green Mountain Suzuki Institute. After years of learning under the loving instruction of Pam Reit, Amanda attended Lawrence University where she pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Violin Performance in the Conservatory of Music. With the Suzuki Method near and dear to her heart, Amanda completed her Master’s degree in Violin Performance with an Emphasis in Suzuki Pedagogy at the University of Hartford’s Hartt School of Music. Teri Einfeldt and Christie Felsing were her mentors throughout her graduate program.
Amanda currently teaches violin at Ridgefield Suzuki School in Ridgefield, Connecticut. Since 2021, she has returned home each summer to teach at the Green Mountain Suzuki Institute. Previously, she had the opportunity to provide maternity leave coverage at Vermont Suzuki Violins and Greenwich Suzuki Academy. In addition to teaching, Amanda enjoys playing chamber music.
Amanda truly believes the Suzuki Method has shaped her as a person. As a child, her favorite part of the week was attending Group Class! Amanda is passionate about creating a nurturing environment and sharing her love of music with children.
