Aaron Van Heyningen began studying violin at the age of five in Springfield, Illinois. Since then, he has performed on stages all across the United States and Asia. He attended New York University for his undergraduate degree, and was a teaching assistant at the University of Akron for his master’s degree. He has attended Blue Lake, Interlochen, and Meadowmount music festivals. His principal instructors have included Ann Setzer, Alan Bodman, Kent Coleman, and Andrew Galos.

Aaron has taught at the University of Akron, Western Reserve Academy of Music and under the umbrella of the Brooklyn Philharmonic at public schools throughout the New York Metropolitan area, and was head of the Strings Department at LX Music School. Currently, Mr. Van Heyningen teaches private students all over New York City, at the Diller-Quaile School of Music, and at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music where he is head of the Suzuki Violin Department.
