An acclaimed piano teacher and teacher trainer, *Nancy Modell* enhances classic Suzuki pedagogy with her original curriculum that nurtures original musical composition and promotes the Taubman Approach for pianistic health and musical expressivity. Nancy is committed to providing a space where young musicians practice creativity, curiosity, and compassion in a musical setting—values they can apply to their lives beyond the studio.
Nancy graduated from Ithaca College School of Music (piano performance and education), studying the international Suzuki Approach (Sanford Reuning, Carole Bigler, Valery Lloyd-Watts) and pioneering the Suzuki Piano method in Israel (1980s). She re-established her studio in NJ (1992).
Nancy has served as a clinician at teacher forums and workshops and has presented her approach to teaching original composition at numerous international, national, and local conferences. She serves on the SAA Board of Directors, Piano Teachers Forum of NJ’s Composer Showcase, and Music Educators Association of NJ’s Composers’ Corner.
