Natalie Coots

Natalie Coots is a Suzuki violin and viola instructor living and teaching in Rochester, NY. Before she had her three sons, she taught at the Greenwich Suzuki Academy, the Hartt School Community Division, and at Ithaca Talent Education (Ithaca, NY).

In 2018 Natalie and Carrie Reuning- Hummel became the co-directors of the Ithaca Suzuki Institute. Natalie and Sarah Cummings now co- direct their beloved institute. Natalie hopes to share the incomparable community, mentorship, friendship and musicianship that she received from her Suzuki upbringing with as many students and families as she can.

Sarah Cummings

Sarah Cummings is the assistant director and a violin faculty member for the Ithaca Talent Education school in Ithaca, NY as well as a co-director for the Ithaca Suzuki Institute.  She has spent time on all three sides of the Suzuki triangle and has taught privately for over 25 years.

Daniel Gee Cordova

Daniel Gee Cordova currently resides in Austin, Texas where he directs the Austin Suzuki Music School and one of the directors of the Greater Austin Suzuki Institute.

Daniel has a commitment to lifelong learning including extensive Suzuki training in violin, viola, and Suzuki Early Childhood. He received degrees in Music Education from SUNY Potsdam and the University of Texas at Austin. As a new SAA teacher trainer, he is excited for the opportunity to share his passion for learning with others. Daniel is an active clinician giving presentations at National Conferences as well as being a guest teacher and conductor at workshops and Suzuki Institutes across the country.

Daniel Gee Cordova serves as the Assistant Principal Viola with the Austin Opera. He had previously served as the Orchestra Director at Chisholm Trail Middle School in Round Rock ISD from 2009-2019. Outside of teaching and performing, he enjoys spending time with husband Jerry, their foster baby Liam, and their two terriers, Bamboo and Tristan.

Aaron Kaplan

Aaron Kaplan is a Chicago-based conductor, cellist, arranger and teacher. He is the assistant director of the Chicago Suzuki Institute, conducts orchestras at the Music Institute of Chicago and the Elgin Youth Symphonies, and is the assistant director of orchestras at Glenbrook North and Glenbrook South High Schools.

Ann Marie Novak

Ann Marie Novak, Director of Suzuki Programs at UWSP, holds Bachelor’s degrees in Piano Performance and Psychology from Oberlin College-Conservatory, and a Master’s degree from UMass-Amherst. She was the founding Director of the Northampton Community Music Center and served as President of the Suzuki Association of Wisconsin. She teaches piano and serves as a collaborative pianist at the Aber Suzuki Center, and is a regular clinician at the SAW Retreat and the American Suzuki Institute. Her students are frequent participants and winners in WMTA events, and have been chosen for masterclasses locally and nationally. Miss Novak writes extensively for the ASC parent education blog and has written other parent education materials. She has presented at SAA Conferences and has frequently lectured at the American Suzuki Institute. She has received the SAW’s 2020 Suzuki Sensei Leadership Award and the 2015 Stevens Point Area Music Teachers’ Association Member of the Year.
