Hannah Stieg, daughter of Linda and Roger Stieg, has passed away at the age of 23 after a 5 1/2 year battle with cancer.
Hannah grew up as a Suzuki child, attending many institutes with her parents. Suzuki piano became her main instrument which she studied from pre-school until graduation from high school. She then went on to pursue a degree in music, began training to become a Suzuki piano teacher and loved teaching Suzuki piano. She was a beautiful girl, both inside and out, and a true Suzuki star in her courageous spirit throughout her illness. She has left a legacy of inspiration to many who have crossed her path.

Dearest Linda and Roger,
I am heartsick upon hearing this news. I want you to know that I am thinking about both of you- and about Hannah. I can only imagine how much the Suzuki piano world would have been ’sweetened’ and enriched by having her for a longer time. All my love, Beth

Dear Linda and Roger,
We have prayed with you during the past few years for Hannah’s healing and restoration of a healthy life. We are saddened by the news of her passing. As we were praying for you and your family, the scripture from the Lamentations of the prophet Jeremiah came to our minds. We want to share it with you: Lamentations 3:19-25 “I remember my affliction and my misery. My soul has them still in remembrance, and is humbled in me. This I recall to my mind, therefore I have hope. It is because of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning. GREAT IS HIS YOUR FAITHFULNESS, O GOD. The Lord is my portion, says my soul. Therefore will I hope in Him. The Lord is good to them that wait for Him, to the soul that seeks Him.” In this time of great grief and sorrow, may you find strength in the faithfulness and mercies of God.
Praying for you,
