We are so saddened to hear of the passing of Canadian Suzuki Violin Teacher Trainer, friend, and colleague to many, Daphne Hughes. Founder of the Suzuki String School of Guelph, Suzuki Valhalla Institute (New Denver, Canada), a founding member of the Suzuki Association of Ontario, and the South Western Ontario Suzuki Institute, her leadership and impact within the SAA is profound and immeasurable. She was a board member of the SAA from 2002-2004 and frequent contributor to the American Suzuki Journal. Her influence on the many lives she touched will not be forgotten.
