“My goal is to embrace what I see in each individual and gently guide my students toward their true potential; far beyond what they thought possible – and to bring this opportunity to every child who seeks it”
Passionate education advocate, Catheryn is an early-childhood music education specialist, educator, and speaker. For the past 20+ years she has been honoured to build multiple Suzuki studios of award winning, positively engaged students across the USA, Canada, UAE, and now excitedly anew in her new home, Germany.
She sees the importance in continually learning, often self-educating in cognitive education, child psychology & attending workshops in Suzuki pedagogy. In application, music has been her modality to influence beautiful changes in a person and to set them up for successes in both life and music.
Catheryn has enjoyed many successes in both teaching and performing – teaching & coordinating the Suzuki department for eight years at the Victoria Conservatory of Music in BC Canada; watching her students routinely earn accolades & positions in excelled pre-professional programs; touring Europe as a soloist, etc. She is currently looking to collaborate with like-minded educators to redesign education to support future generations and raise the bar for children and educator support alike.
Catheryn is working furiously toward becoming a teacher trainer – her next major undertaking. When not teaching and learning, she can be caught climbing mountains, playing in rivers or learning to roller skate.
