Stephanie Pedretti

Stephanie Pedretti is a flute and recorder instructor with a home studio in Viroqua, WI. She also teaches general music and recorder at Pleasant Ridge Waldorf School and has over twenty years of teaching experience, at schools including the DePaul University Community Music Division, the Music Institute of Chicago, the Music Academy in Rockford, and the Flint School of Performing Arts. She holds a B.M. from DePauw University and M.M. from Michigan State University. In 2007 she graduated from the Talent Education Institute in Matsumoto, Japan, where she studied extensively with Toshio Takahashi. She is active as a freelance performer and has appeared in solo and chamber music performances in the US, Canada, Italy, Austria and Japan. In 2009, she released her debut CD, Parisian Reflections, which was supported by a Community Arts Assistance Program Grant from the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs.
